10 products that every natural hair girl needs
Being a natural means you have to take a little extra care of your hair and most of us won’t admit it but it takes a lot of work sometimes. I’ve round up 10 life saving products every natural needs.
I’ve been a natural for close to 7 years now and here are some products that have made my life so much easier. Wash days are bearable , my hair is more manageable and I cannot live without them.

Satin bonnet or pillowcase
Covering your hair when you sleep helps protect your hair from snagging , additionally it is a great way to help your hair retain as much moisture as possible .
Satin and silk are great materials for lining bonnets and making hair scarfs. Other materials such as cotton can dry out your hair.

Deep condition hair cap
A good hair cap is essential to a heat free deep condition.
I’m guilty of using plastic bags and head wrap but I recently invested in a deep conditioning cap ,works amazing.

Spray Bottle
Moisture is the key to happy natural hair .A spray bottle is key to make sure you moisturize your hair. Take a spray bottle add ¾ water , conditioner and aloe vera gel. Spray on your hair daily and seal with an oil of choice.
Here is how you can make your own DIY Leave in Conditioner

Wig
For the days you dont feel like doing your hair and If you’re a lazy natural like me then that is going to be a lot of days.
A good wig is definitely a life saver .There are a lot of wig vendors out there .My advice is if you’re going get a wig ,Find a reputable hair company.
Try out hergivenher.com for kinky type wigs ( not an affiliate just like the look of their wigs)

Wide tooth comb
A wide tooth comb is the only comb you should be using on your hair. It minimizes your hair shedding and makes your hair easier to manage.
Before washing your hair, detangling is a must. A great way to detangle your hair is by applying some conditioner, finger detangling and then going through it with a wide tooth comb.

Edge control
Love a super sleek look? If you like wearing your hair out then you’re going need an extra hand keeping your edges down. If you like an extra neat look that is.
I have been testing out this Goiple Edge Control Gel and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Oils
You don’t need a lot of fancy products like most people would lead you to believe, but good oils are essential. Do your research to figure out which oils are best for your hair type.
Update: I have been really into Ayurveda over the past year and let me tell you, it has made a major difference in my hair growth. Check out this post : On my go to Natural Hair Oil
Hair Clips
Hair clips are super helpful on wash days when you section up your hair so you can work on a small portion of your hair at a time. These are definitely a life saver.
Cotton T-shirt
This you probably have one lying around. Instead of drying your hair with a towel use a cotton T-shirt instead. It won’t snag your hair strands. So instead of throwing out that T-shirt you don’t wear anymore here’s a better use.
If you have long hair a bigger size t-shirt will do the trick.
Hair bands
Hair bands will come in handy in sectioning your hair. Don’t place them on your too tight because you’ll snag your hair off when trying to remove them . Dont use the bands with the little metal join as well because they get stuck on your hair
Satin / Silk Scrunchies
If you’re still using those tight, rough hair ties , it’s time to upgrade! Silk scrunchies are a game changer for natural hair. They’re super gentle, don’t pull or snag, and help prevent breakage.
Plus, they’re cute! Whether you’re doing a pineapple at night or just throwing your curls up for a quick run, silk scrunchies keep your hair protected and stylish at the same time.

Oil Bottles
Listen, trying to oil your scalp straight from the bottle is a mess waiting to happen. That’s where the oil applicator bottle comes in—it has a pointed tip that lets you get right to your roots without wasting product or making a mess.
It’s perfect for scalp massages, hot oil treatments, or just a quick refresh in between wash days. Trust me, it’ll make your life so much easier.

This one is for my girls who like to mix their own oil blends or use more targeted treatments. An oil dropper bottle gives you control over how much you’re using, no more accidentally dumping half the bottle on one section.
It’s great for applying oil to your fingertips before massaging it into your scalp or smoothing it onto your ends. Plus, it just makes your hair routine feel a little more luxe!

Which are some products you can’t leave without, leave a comment .If you have any questions leave them in the comments section as well.
